古早遺留下來的一個觀念：「吃香蕉會咳嗽」、「感冒不要吃香蕉，咳嗽會更厲害」。
老實說，我之前會覺得「真的嗎？」
結果仔細查了一下，還真的有些道理。從免疫學的觀點來看，香蕉含有幾種蛋白質過敏原（例如Mus a 1、Mus a 2、Mus a 3⋯等）
部分本身有過敏體質、哮喘或異位性皮膚炎朋友，可能在吃香蕉後出現過敏反應：咳嗽，喉嚨癢癢的、甚至口腔過敏症候群（OAS）。
另外一個比較玄的，叫做「過敏交叉反應」：香蕉與花粉、乳膠過敏有交叉反應。這什麼意思呢？
部分對花粉、乳膠過敏的朋友，吃了香蕉後，可能因交叉反應，而出現咳嗽。
但對一般人而言，吃香蕉，並不會引起咳嗽。（有點玄，對吧？）
總結：如果你吃香蕉會咳嗽，很可能代表你是對香蕉的蛋白過敏，或者你其實對花粉或乳膠過敏而產生的交叉反應。並不是每個人吃了香蕉都會咳嗽。
老祖宗的智慧，真的不能夠完全忽視
